Byzantine coins

This section is divided as follows:

  1. East Roman coinage (to 610 AD) - coins of the East Roman Empire until the start of the Heraclian dynasty, including coins minted after the Anastasian reform.

  2. High Byzantine coinage (610 - 1071 AD) - coins of "classic" Byzantine empire until the late 11th century's crisis and fragmentation.

  3. Late period coinage (after 1071 AD) - late Byzantine coins, including coinage of spliter states formed after the Fourth Crusade.
