Roman coins This section is divided as follows: Republican coinage (to 30 BC) - coins of the Roman Republic until its end, including the so-called Imperiatorial coinage. Early Imperial coinage (30 BC - 235 AD) - coins of the Roman empire until the end of the Severian Dynasty. Crisis coinage (235-284 AD) - coins of the Crisis of the Third Century until the reforms of the Dominate period. Provincial coinage - coins of provincial mints until their collapse in late 3rd century AD. Dominate coinage (284 - 476 AD) - coins of the later period until the collapse of the Western Empire.
